Fabric Care

Our wardrobe is full of clothes made of different fabrics - natural or synthetic or mixed. We want to make sure we take the best possible care of your fabric. Here, we dive into the most common fabrics - and learn to care for them - fabric by fabric - so the garment lasts longer and possibly - a lifetime.
Please note: Colour may vary slightly from dye batch to dye batch.
We recommend customers to do their own tests.

Tulle

Tulle is made from a fine, netted polyester making it very delicate. To clean, first inspect the tulle for stains. Use a mild stain remover rubbing gently with your fingertips until the stain starts to dissipate, then let sit for up to a half hour. After treating the stain, or if there is no stain, hand wash the tulle by submerging in cold water using a mild detergent. Rinse clean of all soap with cold water. Do not wring out. Lay the tulle between two dry towels. After dabbing the tulle of excess water, hang to dry in an open space out of direct sunlight. Iron on medium or low heat.

Silk

We recommend dry clean only for all our silks.
Please keep in mind that silk is a natural fibre and inconsistencies are characteristic of this fibre.

Cotton

Machine wash cold on delicate cycle. Wash with similar colors. Tumble dry low and iron on low if desired. Reshape whilst damp to maintain shape and structure.

Velvet

Dry clean only. Do not spot clean. Never iron, iron is likely to flatten the velvet's natural pile. A handheld steamer can be used, with extreme care to remove creasing. Alternately, your fabric/garment may be hung in a steamy room, as the steam helps the creases relax. We recommend velvet be stored rolled not folded. Do not use clip hangers as these will mark the fabric.

Linen

Dry-cleaning is recommended to guarantee the colour integrity.
Do not machine wash – hand wash only, but this is at your own risk.
Always dry linen inside out and in the shade to keep the colours as bright as can be as the sun will fade them.
Hot or warm iron.
